Special Class Railway Apprentice
Exam SCRA 2014 is an examination for the selection of candidates for
appointment as special class apprentices in Mechanical Department of
Indian Railways will be held by the Union Public Service Commission UPSC
on 12 January 2014.
Eligibility for SCRA 2014 Exam
Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed intermediate in first or second division of a university or board approved by the government of India with mathematics and at least one of the subject physics or chemistry as a subjects of examination.
Graduate with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics or chemistry as their degree subjects may also apply.
Age Criteria: 17-21 Years as on 1 Jan 2014, five year relaxed for SC/ST category, three year relaxed for OBC categories.

Exam Fee of SCRA 2014 Exam
For General/OBC -Rs. 100/-
For others( Female, SC/ST, PH candidates) -No fee
Candidate can submit the fee either by cashor NET banking of SBI and Subsidiaries of SBI or by Visa/Master Debit/Credit Card.

Scheme and Syllabus of SCRA 2014 Exam
The examination shall be conducted according to the following plan:
Part-1- Written examination carrying a maximum of 600 marks in the subjects as shown below.
Part-2- Personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks in respect of only those candidates who are declared qualified on the results of written examination.

How to Apply Online For SCRA 2014 Exam
1. Candidate Should have to Apply online only, there is no other mode to apply for SCRA 2014.
2. To apply online visit the official website of upsconline.nic.in and read all the guidelines.
3. Fill all the details in the application form properly as per the norms of UPSC given in the notification.
4. After completing part one registration note down your registration number to initiate part two registration.
5. Take a print out of SCRA application form after complete registration.
